A bit of Industrial History - Union Chain Bridge (River Tweed)

Martin Willock has forwarded this link of a birds eye view on restoration of the Union Chain Bridge across the River Tweed – the oldest operational suspension bridge in the world.

The Bridge – which has provided a transport link between Scotland and England for 200 years – has received £3.14million from The National Lottery Heritage Fund to allow a major programme of repairs to get underway early next year.

Not quite Aldwark Toll Bridge (that would be an interesting subject as well)
